Bulgaria entry in the Eurozone

Bulgaria has adopted the Euro as the national currency since 01st January 2026. The Bulgarian National Bank since that date is publishing the same exchange rates as the European Central Bank (ECB) using EUR as their reference currency.

We have stopped updating the exchange rates for the provider BNBU (Bulgarian Central Bank) since the 1st of January 2026, but we will keep it available for historical purposes. Both the provider BNBU and the currency BGN have been marked as obsolete in our API.
