Global Exchange Rates brings the official exchange rates published by central banks and tax authorities directly into Salesforce, so your multi-currency records use accurate, auditable rates instead of manually maintained ones. It is built for finance, quoting, and reporting teams that need official rates for accounting and compliance.
Why official exchange rates in Salesforce?
Salesforce multi-currency relies on conversion rates that are entered and updated manually, or on dated exchange rates that still require ongoing maintenance. Maintaining those rates by hand is error-prone and time-consuming.
How does Global Exchange Rates integrate with Salesforce?
Our Salesforce connector installs directly into your Salesforce organization. From a single Configuration screen you connect it to the Global Exchange Rates API and set it to run automatically:
- Enter your API Key.
- Select the Provider whose official rates you need — the central bank or tax authority (for example, the Central Bank of the UAE).
- Set a schedule (a CRON expression) and enable scheduled updates.
- Use Test Connection to confirm it works, then schedule the job.

Once scheduled, your Salesforce currency exchange rates are refreshed automatically with the official published figures, so opportunities, quotes, invoices, and reports always use the correct rate. You can also trigger an update on demand with Get Latest Rates.
Need rates for past dates? The Historical Load screen fetches and loads official historical exchange rates for any date range, for back-dated records and corrections.

- Official, auditable rates from central banks and tax authorities, not market estimates.
- Automatic updates on a schedule, with no manual rate entry.
- Historical rates for back-dated records and corrections.
- Unlimited legal entities, covering every company in your organization at no extra cost.
